“Feed the boil!" is a phrase often bellowed in the early Spring by northeastern sugarers as they tend to their sap boiling rigs. Hauling wood to the fire, the sweet smells of maple syrup and woodsmoke on the air: this is my favorite way to spend a brisk March weekend in Maine.

Our Sugar Shack Log Carrier is the last log carrier you'll need. Built from heavy, abrasion-resistant natural duck canvas, we have refined an old-school look with modern reinforcements. Unlike log carriers with cut-off top corners, our Sugar Shack design features round fiberglass battens sewn into the top rubs. This allows the cover to keep its shape while being carried resulting in less splinter spillage from the woodpile to the fireplace! We have also added a handsome leather snapped grip for greater comfort and stability, and to keep the carrier's sides together if you set it down when full.

Materials: Heavy natural duck canvas, stitched and oiled leather straps, brass Chicago screw reinforcements, hand-stitched batten ends.

Sugar Shack Log Carriers are built to order. We recommend sizing your carrier for your stove's depth/fireplace width. (A 22" and a 14" carrier are pictured.)
